Outlook 2010 Font size way too small on outgoing email

Out of the blue, I went to send an email from Outlook and the font is so tiny it is impossible to read. I went in to File/Options/Mail/ComposeMesssage/Stationery/Fonts/Personal Stationery/NewMailMessages/Font and tried to fix the problem.

No luck. Has anyone come across this problem?

Hi Sue,

What platform are you running Outlook 2010 on? XP, Vista, or Windows 7? I'm using Windows 7 with Outlook 2010 and the default setting is a font size of 8. Have you tried changing your default?

If that doesn't work call or e-mail Microsoft there shouldn't be a charge. I beta tested Office 2010 for six month with no real problems.

I am running Windows 7. I will see if I can change the default and then I will try to contact Microsoft. Thank you.

Sue, your welcomed!

One thought, have you looked for any update patches from Microsoft Office? I got 3 to 4 over that six month beta period!

I had this same problem and found the answer on Microsoft. It worked.. Here is that they suggested

To increase the zoom settings try the following steps:

1. Open a new email window in Outlook

2. Click on the body of the message

3. Press and Hold the 'Ctrl' key on the keyboard and scroll the mouse wheel forward or backwards to adjust the zoom

4. Restart Outlook to verify the status

I am just looking for a solution to the same problem. My e-mail replies are such tiny fonts that I cannot read them. The same problem also appeared in my Outlook notes. They are just as tiny. This happened while typing an entry into notes.

I found the solution for this. It is most likely that you accidentally hit a mouse combination that set the zoom to 50% or less while composing an e-mail or appointment. Reply to any e-mail and reset the zoom to 100%. Cancel out of the e-mail (or send it if you like). The new setting will persist.

For more info, type "zoom" into the Help feature in Outlook.
