Recap of the Q1 2012 SoCal CRS
Educational and Networking Meeting
The first quarterly meeting sponsored by the Southern California Chapter of CRS was held on March 9 at the Atrium Hotel in Irvine, with approximately 40 attendees.
That is just 40 people who got to hear STEVE HARNEY from www.KeepingCurrentMatters.com and Keeping Current Matters Blog AND come away with some impressive statistics and information to share with buyers and sellers about the real state of our housing market and the impact of the SHADOW INVENTORY on the market in the coming months. Here is a sample:
For those of you who could not make it, or opted out for one reason or another, you really missed out on some relevant information, terrific charts and graphs, and some strategies to speak to buyers and sellers about the decisions they ought to be making in the next 90 - 120 days.
But I encourage you to visit www.KeepingCurrentMatters.com to see the information that is available to you to use in your marketing and buyer/seller discussions as a member. And SUBSCRIBE for free to his blog, Keeping Current Matters Blog, with daily relevant information you can use to speak about the housing market based on current data and opinions, not media headlines-ese.
LINDA EISENMANN won the 50/50 Raffle and very generously donated her 50% back to HABITAT FOR HUMANITY. Thank you, Lynda!
MAXINE GOLDEN was selected as the featured CRS of the Quarter and had the chance to record a video that is featured in our blog and on our website. Here's the video.
We want to thank our Platinum Sponsors who attended and had information to share with us - Hallmark Escrow/Coast Cities Escrow; First American Natural Hazard Disclosures; First American Home Buyers Protection; Loss Mitigation Network; and National Sponsor, Pillar to Post.
The Chapter is doing well financially, with more new members than we had at this time last year, and some good income from the city listings and display ads members submitted for the NEW 2012 Referral Directory that will be coming out the first week of April.
We look forward to seeing you at our next meeting to be held in TEMECULA (local winery site TBD) on June 8, with a wine tasting event the day before.
