Point2 Reports 500 Percent Increase in ‘MLS Certified™’ Program Adoption

San Diego, – June 27, 2011 – Point2 (, a leader in Web-based real estate marketing and listing syndication solutions today reported a five-fold increase in the number of MLSs and associations that have embraced the MLS Certified™ ( initiative, with the total number of organizations that today syndicate listings through Point2 under the MLS Certified label rising from eight to 43 in ten days.


The program, launched by Point2 last month, is designed to drive higher standards in property data on the Internet in the United States, and boost consumer confidence in the accuracy of published information on real estate consumer portals, such as a for sale unit’s current price and availability.


The MLS Certified™ logo will appear on all listings generated from the respective MLS or association for distribution across Point2’s national syndication partner network of approximately 50 major U.S. consumer real estate websites and search engines.


New organizations that have rolled out MLS Certified in the past two weeks include Realcomp II Ltd., which represents nine Michigan-based member associations, Palmetto State MLS, West Michigan Lakeshore Association Of REALTORS®, Hamptons North Fork REALTORS® Association MLS, Pocono Mountains Association Of REALTORS®, Harrison District Board of REALTORS®, Monmouth County Association Of REALTORS®, Victor Valley Association Of REALTORS®, Ozark Gateway Association Of REALTORS®, and Washington County Board of REALTORS®.


“Listing data is extremely valuable and takes tremendous effort and time to put together. Presented accurately, in a timely manner, gives credence to both the portals displaying the listing and the real estate professionals behind it,” said Vardell Curtis, RCE, executive officer for Washington County Board of REALTORS®, in St. George, Utah. “We thank Point2 for undertaking such an important initiative to protect our intellectual property.”

Listings from an additional thirty organizations in the state of Texas today also feature the MLS Certified logo on the state’s public facing website.
