MRIS To Deploy Cyberhomes’ DocCentral Document Storage Solution
Metropolitan Regional Information Systems, Inc. (MRIS), the largest Multiple Listing Service in the United States, announced today that it has selected DocCentral™, a document management system from Cyberhomes LLC, as a new inclusive benefit for its customers.
David Charron, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Rockville, Maryland based MLS, announced that the 50,000 members served by MRIS will have unlimited access to DocCentral, the Web-based platform that provides REALTORS® with a cost-effective, secure and eco-friendly document management and storage solution.
“We conducted an extensive evaluation of document management products that also included options to build our own; we concluded that DocCentral met our requirements the best. Our team believes that the system is flexible, easy to use and will integrate seamlessly with our MLS systems, some of which are proprietary,” said David Charron. “We are excited about providing this technology to our customers and enabling them to enhance their business.”
DocCentral has been designed to be a simple, intuitive and cost-effective tool that allows real estate professionals the ability to manage and organize their documents online. Documents are easily digitized and stored on secure servers and accessible 24/7 via the Internet. By taking transaction documentation off agent laptops and out of filing cabinets, DocCentral eliminates redundancy, safeguards information, and promotes a more effective and eco-friendly method of doing business today.
“We have been extremely pleased with the reception the real estate industry has given to DocCentral and are honored to have MRIS join the list of progressive organizations who see electronic document storage as a critical priority for their customers,” said Jay Gaskill, President and CEO of Cyberhomes, LLC. “MRIS has always been a leader in technology innovation and we are confident that DocCentral will yet again demonstrate this commitment to their customer base.”
“With the inclusion of MRIS customers, DocCentral now surpasses 100,000 registered users who have access to this product,” said Walt Clark, Senior Vice President of Document and Transaction Management Solutions. “This is a phenomenal accomplishment for a technology product launched barely twelve months ago and demonstrates the growing desire of REALTORS® to store and share documents electronically, eliminating paper and reducing their carbon footprint.”
