Day(s) of the Dead

The Day(s)  of the Dead is barely a ripple in central Ohio this year.  One would think with a growing Hispanic population the "celebration"  of  Dias de los Muertos would be more apparent in Central Ohio.  I found nothing in the Dispatch about local  "Dias de los Muertos" events.

A story by reporter John Jarvis in the Marion Star is as close as we got to El Dia de los Muertos  in Central Ohio in November 2005.

Earlier in 2005 in Pipeline to Mexico, a photo gallery by Chris Russell in the Dispatch says "kids go trick-or-treating and then, days later, honor deceased family members on El Dia de los Muertos "  The photo gallery is a beautiful pictorial of life here for Mexican immigrants.
