One of the Best Priced Canal Front Home Sites on the Outer Banks!

Nov. 29, 2008

2171 Teal Rd (from canal)
Canal Front Lot

ESCAPE FROM THE PAVEMENT!

Make this Canal front lot the site of your new beach home and have the flexibility of coming by land or water with easy access to Knotts Island Bay. Enjoy the privacy of being away from the commercialization of the other beaches, and listen to the ocean from your back yard while watching the horses wander on by.

Carova Beach is an oceanfront community located in the heart of the 4WD beaches of the Outer Banks where wild horses still roam free. A truly secluded get-a-way with the Atlantic Ocean to the East, Knotts Island Bay to the West, Currituck National Wildlife Refuge to the South, and False Cape State Park to the North.

A trip To False Cape

Nov. 28, 2008

Yesterday was a nice Thanksgiving. It was me, my wife, and her parents. The smaller numbers made it much more relaxing. After dinner we took a walk into False Cape State Park in Virginia. This park and Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge are big contributors to why Carova is as remote as it is. The original plan was for Carova to be accessed from Virginia Beach and Sandbridge, but later the government decided to limit the access to the park to hiking, biking, & boating. Being so close to the park adds yet another advantage to being up here. When getting away from the stores and pavement is not enough, I can cruise up another mile and get away from the automobiles also.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Nov. 27, 2008

This has been an amazing week. The weather overall has been very agreeable and the traffic has been slowly building since Friday. Saturday morning, driving down the beach I passed people enjoying the beach fishing, relaxing, and kids playing football. over the days, the crowd has been growing bigger and as of Wednesday you would think that it was Memorial Day with the traffic on route 12 and the people enjoying the beach. The Outer banks has truly become a 10 month vacation spot, maybe even 11. Typing this is causing me to remember how many times my wife and I would come down here in February for Valentine's week because the weather was nice and it I could actually afford to rent an oceanfront house without inviting 8 other family members (about $500/wk).

IT'S SNOWING In Carova!!!!

Nov. 21, 2008

Yes! It is snowing in Carova. What a wonderful end to a hectic week. Monday was a late night at the county courthouse fighting “the man”.  Tuesday was a Broker class in Nags Head until 10:00 p.m.  Wednesday night was getting cold outside at the Fire Department learning the brush trucks and actually squirting the hoses in 38 degree weather. Thursday night I was back to Broker’s class. Now it’s Friday and I got to wake up to great big fluffy flakes falling from the sky!!!! I tried to take pictures but the lighting was off, and I couldn’t get a good shot.
