| Can you believe it; I found a quote that combines doors & school! Yes, I am excited that school starts on Tuesday. Nothing quite says the end of summer like school shopping and the Marquette Area Blues Society Blues Fest in Mattson Lower Harbor Park all weekend. The Blues Fest is a great way to sound out the summer on a blues note! Ringside Fitness has another great way to signal that summer is over and it is time to get back to work with their Labor Day Body Pump & RPM classes. Stop in all day for any of these new classes whether you are a member or not. Call Ringside 226-7600 for class times. And finally, I am so pleased to announce that our poster is in! Carol Brady and I are doing a fundraiser poster for the Marquette County History Museum. With the help of Wendy Hill Manson at Tranquil Images and Bilan Nelson at MediaBox we are offering “Doors of Marquette” posters. In order to better serve the Marquette County community and fulfill its Mission, the Museum has decided to undertake a Capital Campaign to finance the purchase and renovation of a new facility in downtown Marquette. This new museum will allow for the continual growth of the collection and provide a place for community gatherings and state-of-the-art exhibits.
