We've all walked through a Home where Smoke & Pet Odors, Rancid Hampers, Musty Carpet, and even some cooking smells have extremely limited our stay. Once you get it in your head that nothing's crawling on you, You start feeling like you need a bath and become so distracted, it's hard to keep up with the conversation. You can only hold your breath so long. You just want to GET OUT OF THERE!

Buying a home is still a very Personal and Emotional experience. From the moment a Home is entered, the Selling begins. The easier it is for Buyers to imagine themselves Living in Your Home, the easier the Sell. Appeal to the Senses!
Before entering Your Home into the Market, discontinue any Smoking inside the Home for at least 2 weeks leading up to showing it, find a pet-sitter for a few days, and Clean, Clean, Clean! Once you've removed any aromas that might be offensive and freshened the air in your home, you can actually use Scent to your advantage. A Sweet Smelling Home invite visitors to Stay longer.
Baking prior to Showings is Excellent but Time will Rarely allow for that. When time permits, bake bread. It lasts all day. Bowls with Sponges containing vanilla extract or Rosemary and Lavender are neutral and lingering. No time? Consider Richly Scented Candles with the smell of Fresh Apple Pie, Cinnamon Rolls, Banana Nut Bread, etc.... Very hard to beat when it comes to creating the atmosphere of a Welcoming Home.
Don't Underestimate the Impact Scents and Aromas Have.
TIP1: Adding a cup of Vinegar to your laundry will eliminate the smell of smoke.
TIP2: Vinegar and Water will rid carpet of pet odors.
TIP3: In a pinch, a mixture of Water, Vanilla Extract, and Brown Sugar in an oven on low heat can be used to create the pleasing Aroma of fresh baking.
TIP4: If you don't want the hassle of a candle, try GLADE Wisp Flameless Candle.
