Spending $300 or less on a digital camera

I'd like to buy a digital camera but I don't have a large budget. If I wanted to buy something for less than $300 what should I buy?

One that has the widest wide angle lens!
Comparing to a 35mm system you should look for at least a 24mm wide lens, but that is hard to find in your price range. Maybe you should look for a good used one. Try Craiglist.com

I was able to shop around and compare brands on Amazon.com under camera's when I recently bought a camera for my wife's online business... Bestbuy.com is also a great site for comparisons and lower prices... I bought a Canon. Best to you in your search!
