Russ Fish was able to capture a "double rainbow" over our lake on 10/1/06! I found a lovely version of the famous song "Over the Rainbow" originally sung by Judy Garland in the classic movie "The Wizard of Oz", sung by Israel Kamakawiwo Ole; with a nice slideshow of pictures to accompany his singing. Clicking on the picture will take you to the song / video..

Thursday, October 12th, 2006- Here comes the Snow! Boats are still in the water, leaves are still on the trees, etc.- We set some records on Thursday for the weather charts!

The very next day..

The very next day, I saw this yard while driving through the country - Snowmen (Snow-persons?) in October.. The children, out in the yard, enjoying the snow, and making the best out of it! This reminds me of the saying
"When Life Hands You Lemons, Make Lemonade"!
No, clicking on the picture will not take you to a version of the song "Frosty The Snowman"- It's not even Halloween yet! But it will take you to something a bit more "Seasonal"- enjoy!
New rule for Shavehead Lake "Kodak Moments"- the pics don't necessarily have to be on the lake, as long as they're related in some way..

MArch 10th in the afternoon. Flight of Sandhill cranes over the west side of the lake, heading towards the Dolan/Joseph road area.

I wake up at 7 every morning I'm at the lake to see this beautiful sight. Words can't even describe how amazing it is!
