February 11, 2007 - Home Fire On Shavehead Lake

The cloud of smoke you see in the background  was taken on Saturday afternoon,- the fire started Friday morning, and is still smoldering.  This fire at Rick and Cindy Burns home occured just 13 Months after a previous fire had damaged about half of Rick & Cindy's lovely home.  Rick and Cindy had just moved back into their home this past November from the previous fire, only to experience this tradgedy again on Friday.  This time, their home is totally destroyed.  Because of North Drive being so narrow, it was very difficult for the firefighters to fight the blaze.  Click on the picture to read the news story, and there's a video of the news report as well.
