Enjoy The Stars Nights!
This year we will have two nights- July 26th, when the Southern Delta Aquarids meteor shower is occuring, and August 9th, which is the "Perseids" meteor shower timeframe (Perseids peaks on the 12th / 13th). Here's a link to some information about this event: StarDate OnLine
Let's turn the lights off, and enjoy the beauty of the heavens!
We know some lights "can't" be turned off; but let's do our best!

This years celebration will be held on Saturday, July 5th at the Murphy's again. Your donations are what make this event possible, so ask your family and friends who will be joining us to contribute as well..

Clean-up will be at 9:00 on Sunday morning- the Murphy's sure appreciate the help! As the saying goes: "Many hands do light work make"
This years "Adopt-A-Road" Clean-Up day is Saturday, May 17th at 10:00, we'll meet at the intersection of Union Rd. and Peninsula Drive. We clean from Union Rd. to Peninsula Drive, and we're hoping for enough volunteers to be able to clean-up Rainbow / Carter Lake roads as well.
As a little incentive to get our Shavehead lake children involved, several of our residents have donated some money- there will be six eggs along the clean-up route with $5 inside!
The date this year has been scheduled for June 21st. The golf course and time will be up to those who want to participate this year. If you are interested in playing this year, just post a comment to this entry.
