The Mint Collection is a collection of four buildings under one project at the intersection of Jessie and Mint a half block west of the Westfield Shopping Center. Between this project and the Soma Grand /Federal Building one block down, it is going to be exciting to watch how this area develops.

The Hales Warehouse will house 52 condominium residences. This is the type of conversion loft building that the most discerning buyers seek throughout the world.

As of February 26, 2007 they do not have a sales office open, but they are taking reservations now and private tours are available by appointment. If you would like a private tour of The Mint Collection, let me know the
date and time and I will confirm back with you when the appointment is made.

The developer of this project has a great track record with loft conversions in San Francisco and LA. They are known to have some of the most true (i.e. New York-style) lofts on the market. It is reported as being almost half sold out already, which does not surprise me.

The beautifully renovated Hales Warehouse, located at 410 Jessie Street offers 52 residential and live/work units available for sale. The historic building features light-filled spaces with magnificent city views. The street level will soon be home to a captivating French Bistro.

The other three buildings that make up The Mint Collection are the unique Station House building, located at 418 Jessie Street was once part of the historic Hales Brothers Department Store and formerly served as a San Francisco Fire Department firehouse.

The development features 25 luxury residences available for lease, and includes a roof deck with a fitness center and custom spa, indoor parking, and a two-story Nuevo-Latino/Peruvian restaurant-lounge on the street level.

The Sliver Building, located at 424 Jessie Street offers luxury residences available for lease. The project features six distinctively designed units, each encompassing an entire floor, with the seventh and eighth floors comprising a two-story penthouse unit.

The Haas Candy Factory, built circa 1907, offers sunlit, contemporary office space with exposed brick walls and historic arched windows. This five-story building was specially designed to allow full-floor occupancy on floors two through five, and features a restaurant on the ground floor.

The building’s exterior architecture hints at its earlier role in the City’s history. Built in 1926, the building originally served as offices and warehouses for the Hale Brother’s Department Stores, one of the city’s first premier retailers. Years later, the Hale Brother’s stores became part of the retail conglomerate of Carter, Hawley, Hale. The original structure was designed by the Reid Brothers architects, renowned for such buildings as the Fairmont Hotel and the Hotel Del Coronado in San Diego.
