Does being on page 1 really matter?
Hello! Where have you been? Yes, of course being on page 1 of search engines matter.
- Does it matter if you receive 5 times less traffic?
- Does it matter if your listings go un-noticed because they are in the search engine abyss with millions of other listings?
- Does it matter if you get less leads than other Agents in your area?
- Does it matter if you loose clients to other’s who are showing up on page 1?
If you answered yes to any of these questions then YES “being on page 1 of search engines really matters”
So how do you get there?
Well if you are blogging on Real Town you are on the right track. Make sure and add tags to your blogs and title your blog posts so the title is search engine friendly.
Optimize your web pages so the title tags on each of your pages is relevant to the content in your page and is a title you would ideally like to rank for. Don’t be un-realistic by attempting to get ranked for something like “Real Estate Agent”. Instead optimize your pages for the area you provide services in. Example: Atlanta GA Real Estate Agent
Optimize each of your listing pages so they are relevant to the listing. For example if you are selling a listing in Burbank CA, ideally you should write the title in your listing page as “Burbank CA Home for sale” or something similar.
Add alt tags to all of your images
Add titles to all your hyperlinks like http://www.fullurltopage.com” title=”listings in Burbank ca”>View Our Burbank CA Listings
Try creating a few HubPages. These get picked up by Google fast and do well.
Write an article about your profession or your local area and post it to some free article directories. Make sure the article has a link back to your blog or online profile.
Digg your articles and some of your favorite blog posts. Don’t only Digg your stuff though because Digg see’s that as spam. Digg other articles and blog posts you like too.
Add links to all your online pages to your other online pages, flyers, articles, blogs. For example add links to your Real Town blog that link to your HubPages, articles, website, flyers and add your Real Town blog link to those other places too. Basically link everything back to each other.
If an RSS feed is available for any of your blogs or your listings make sure and add that feed to other online places wherever you can. For example on Real Town under the “My Services” section on your main “My RealTown” page - click the “My Feeds” under this section and you will see a “My Blog” option. Click the RSS Feed for your blog and place it in MyBlogLog, your ClassifiedFlyerAds.com profile, Ziki and other online networks that take feeds.
Take some time and follow these above steps and before you know it you will start seeing an increase in search engine traffic.
