In Single Family Listed for Broward there were about 400 more homes for June and about 80 less sold than June.  In Multi Family there were about 200 more for sale and about 70 less sales.

In Single Family Listed for Palm Beach there were about 2500 more listed homes for June and about 150 more sold.  In Multi Family there were about 330 more for sale and about 30 more sold over May.

For June the biggest difference our Team noticed was the increase in the amount of rentals we completed.  Far more than sales!  Fear is still a prevalent and immoblizing feeling amongst the buying public.  Those that are not immobilized by fear are taking advantage of some of the great opportunities available.

There is a slight increase in inventory across the board AND AN INCREASE in sales!  It is important to remember that real estate local.  Although the nation as a whole is not doing well, things appear to be picking up in our local market.  I work in an office with 180 agents.....In the last two weeks agents are coming in earlier and staying later.  Conference rooms are occupied more frequently and showings have increased on most of our listings.  There is definitely a renewed energy and it is exciting.

Summary:

In Broward, single family home inventory had a minor increase in inventory and a minor increase in sales. In Broward multi family homes, there was minor decrease in inventory and a slight increase in sales.

In Palm Beach county, single family homes had an increase in inventory (note, we added some additional areas, slightly north of Okeechobee Boulevard that attributed to this increase). The sales (even with the added areas) decreased by almost 50 percent.

In Palm Beach multi-family homes there was an increase in inventory and an increase in sales as well.
