Real Estate Needs Real People |
-
OK this is really funny--I went to the Zillow website and OOOOh OOOOh its
all secretive and stuff BUT I did go to employment for kicks and saw that
they are looking for a slew of high tech programmers, designers, etc.
I did not see a call for a REAL PERSON that the Buyer or seller can call and
cry on their shoulder, ask for advice for repairs, painting, divorce,
frustrations, etc. Real estate is always going to be a 'high touch'
business--I could not envision buying a home for me and my family without
getting inside the home, seeing it for real, asking opinions, figuring out
what to offer, discussing comps, options, stips, etc. I see this service as
good for investment and second home properties, but when Wanda from White
Plains comes to re-locate to my area, has 5 kids, wants great schools,
amenities, convenience, location, recreation, shopping, she is going to ask
me for advice, even tho she can get it from the internet, there are enough
insecure buyers out there who need full service agents.
The industry will shift, no doubt, we have to be more customer service
oriented and relationship sell, or the general public will not see our value
to them!
