Come join us at a 90 minute Introduction to e-PRO event at Moscone Center Room 220 Friday afternoon from 3:30 to 5:00 pm. If you are with friends who are not yet e-PROs, bring them along and we'll give you an extra e-PRO pin.

Oct. 19, 2005
Friday afternoon at 5 pm following the e-PRO Workshop in Moscone Center Room 220, there is a special half-hour program focused on NAR's Certified e-PRO Trainer program.
Who should attend? Technology trainers, Education Directors, and real estate educators with an interest in helping REALTORS become more comfortable with today's technology. You will find more information at http://eProNAR.com under the blue e-PRO Trainer tab.

Would like to see an e-PRO gathering on Sat the 29th in addition to
Sunday as suggested. As Gloria in Elk Grove pointed out, there is a fleet of
chartered buses from the Sacramento area coming down for Saturday only
including two from my neck of the woods - South Placer County
(Roseville-Rocklin, etc.). I'll be happy to serve as a clearing point to
make a list of e-PRO attendees interested in a Saturday get together. E-mail
me off list, I will compile and send the list together with a suggested
meeting place to all by Wednesday PM. Please label Subject: "e-PRO Saturday
Gathering"

3. Would really like to shake hands with Harley, Bean & Lee (sounds like a
Beverly Hills law firm!) and bask in their glow for a minute or so. Are one
or more of you three planning to make the trip?

I know Jim Lee is attending, not sure about the other two you mentioned. Hurricane Wilma allowing, we are flying out on Thursday morning and returning Monday afternoon. I know Saul et al have events scheduled for late afternoon on Saturday and I plan to attend the e-pro trainer overview at 5PM. I still have my flashing "Go e-PRO at Booth 1361" from last year. Hope to trade it in for a 2005 version.

I plan to be on the roof of the Marriott - or at least in the View Lounge - for our e-PRO get-together. Are many planning to be there?

I'd really like to attend the gathering 2 PM Sunday but between the
convention program, exhibit hall and many governance/committee meeting
obligations there is little time left for anything additional. Also, having
events in multi locations makes getting around quickly a challenge. If you
are attending your first N.A.R. conference, allow plenty of time between
scheduled appointments or classes. The convention center is huge and in
more than one building, you will probably need to wait for shuttle bus
transportation to/from a hotel and have back-to-back events scheduled in
locations many blocks apart. Every facet of N.A.R. is "headquartered" in a
different hotel; Women's Council, NAR, CRS, etc. will have check-in desks
and meetings in separate places. The annual conference is a wonderful event
with something for everyone--if only it were spread out for two weeks
instead of just one! In any case, I'll be watching for members wearing the
e-PRO pin and badge designation and will be sure to say hello.

John's note:

Yes, scheduling meetings is tough at Conference....so much going on. Be sure to stop by the e-PRO booth #3400 early and pick up your RealTalker ribbon and e-PRO Ribbon for your badges. Hope to see you there Linda.

it seems that 2pm on Sunday at the View Lounge in the Marriott is the
meeting place...not sure how many will be there, there are so many variables
when you're doing the Conference! but by Sunday we'll be looking for a place
to sit and visit for a while I'm sure...see you there!

9. San Francisco

I arrived in San Francisco this afternoon about 1:30 PM and headed to the Marriott at Moscone Center. I always enjoy San Francisco. In August of 1972, as a recent graduate of the Naval Academy, I reported to my first post Academy duty station...Damage Control School at Treasure Island, right in the middle of the Bay. I spent 9 weeks learning such skills as firefighting and Nuclear/Biological/Chemical (NBC) warfare. A cousin of my dad owned a jewelry business on Grant in Downtown San Francisco and I spent time playing in the City when I wasn't in class or driving home to San Diego every other weekend.

10. Opening of the Expo

Written by: Anonymous

The Expo is at Moscone Center and divided into 2 large exhibit halls. The crowd appeared light last night at the opening compared to previous years. It may be that the number of people was the same as last year, but that they were spread over two very large exhibit halls.

I have not had a chance to check out much but will do so later today and tomorrow. I will be attending the Business Information and Technology Forum at 1:00 and Dr. Phil at 4:00 (Sponsored by e-PRO).
