Foreclosure Advisers have Ethics?

Mar. 24, 2008
Accountability is often an issue among professionals. Who is accountable for this? Who is accountable for that? To solve this issue there are ethics that guides all professions. Ethics are a significant part of a person's profession for ethics is a standard or norm that guides them on how to deal with certain matters and solve problems. All professions have a code of ethics to follow because professionals have a responsibility to the public since they are the one that received trainings on their respective fields. It is within their power to take advantage of their clients or customers who have placed their trust on them. However, professional ethical responsibility would depend on the situation. For example, a vehicular accident happened and the onlookers though most of them are professionals are not to be blamed if they were not able to help because they do not have the sufficient training on how to handle that kind of situation, but if a physician or a medical personnel are present it is within their code of ethics to help the people involved in that vehicular accidents. Like I have said before, the professional code of ethics is applicable to all professions such as foreclosure advisers.
Foreclosure advisers and organizations which deals with customers with foreclosure problems?, customers who are about to lose their home, are also following the professional code of ethics. Though many foreclosure advisers only think of their own personal gain, some remains as an honest foreclosure adviser. When you think about it, the basis or the main end of foreclosure advisers is to help the distressed homeowner to save their homes. If all foreclosure advisers nowadays chose to deceived their clients then surely they would be out of business. There are many write ups that foreclosure advisers are just out to scam their clients, if that is so, then how come many clients still goes to a foreclosure adviser? Many organizations geared to helping distressed homeowners keep cropping up. Though I do not deny that there are those who are out to bleed the clients dry, but, there are also honest and trustworthy foreclosure advisers. There would be more advantage if a foreclosure adviser will remain honest and trustworthy, than just being a deceptive foreclosure adviser. Foreclosure advisers who abides by the ethical code of their profession are those that are successful in their careers, because their credibility and honesty will be their advertising agent. They will not need huge posters or gigantic billboards to advertise their services, or spends million of dollars for a 20 second television advertisement. What will propel them to the top of the ladder is their former clients or customer that the foreclosure adviser helped solve their foreclosure problems. Through them, the honest and credible foreclosure adviser will gain and serve more clients. Whereas a deceptive foreclosure adviser, when caught will be imprisoned, their future would be dark and bleak for a very long time. Service is actually the core of an ethical foreclosure adviser's world.
