Technology gives new meaning to Cheating @ School!
Our local newspaper had a featured article on the local county School System's stance on students' use (or misuse) of cell phones. Surveys indicate that over 90% of the high school students own their own cell phone. Some of those students got creative with text messaging each other test answers and even taking photographs in the locker room of others with pictures winding up on the Internet! Certainly at the least, ringing phones during class would prove to be a huge nuisance and distraction for others.
The school's system rules state that phones are allowed, but must be kept concealed and turned off during classroom times or risk being confiscated.
