Hello:

I'm debating between using Point2 or alamode to host my website. Any thoughts or suggestions? By the way, Point 2 is $600 a year, Alamode is $500. I like the looks of Alamode, has anyone tried this company?

Thanks for your time!

Suzanne, I have not tried Alamode, thanks for the tip. I really like Point2Agent, have been with them for a year now. It's free to start and then $9.95 per month for the basic package, or you can upgrade to a more sophisticated system. But the basic package works just fine!

Point 2 has a lot of options for the real estate web site, including listing ads and links. It has a template that allows you to add custom content to each of the 3 columns.

Hi Suzanne:

I've worked on both P2A and AlaMode. I found P2A to be more user-friendly than AlaMode. I think P2A also has more options/features that you can take advantage of.

Hope this helps.

Thank you both for the replies. I'm waiting to hear if ALAMODE will honor a discount they offered a while back. I have used POINT2 before, and did like it. With ALAMODE however, I noticed quite a few additional benefits. For example, they have a "chat with realtor" live link, which is where the consumer can click on a button and if you are on line can chat directly with you over the computer. They also have some kind of message to mobile link. You may want to check them out. If I do go with them, I will post my experience here.

Have a great day!;)

I haven't checked out Alamode for quite awhile. Looks like it might be worth a look.

Thanx!

Greetings Suzanne:

I would consider getting a Blog Site before committing to a hosting company. Many blog sites get the best SEO rankings in the areas and key words they serve. Check out www.RealEstateTomato.com or contact Ricardo Bueno @ ribeezie@gmail.com.

I'm in the process of making the change after years of service from AA, Z57, and others.

Good Luck!

I've used A La Mode for about 4 years now. I like it and can't imagine changing now. They seem willing to negotiate with me over the price. One year I couldn't pay them and they let me keep my site active for the entire year for free (They did reduce the volume of my site by about 1/3, removing some of the links). When I picked it back up, they reinstalled my whole site again.

I've completely edited my site so that's it's all my own material. It has take some time to learn all the editting stuff, but they are always responsive when I call and always solve my problems in short order. I recommend it although I've never used P2A.

Here's a link to my site: Saint Francis Property

Good luck!
