Mac Group

<p> I am a relatively new Mac User and now I would like to start moving my accounting from Quicken on my antique Dell to my Mac and would appreciate any programs anyone has been happy with. <p> Is the only Mac that comes with a solid state drive the MacBook Air?<br /> If so is it worth the extra expense? And with the solid state drive is there increased performance or is durability the main advantage? </p> <p> </p>

<p> I had a question regarding variance of font sizes on my website that are different on Safari as opposed to IE. I wanted to contact support to post the question, but I did not see how I could start a new discussion when I went to Point2 using the Safari browser. <p> I have 2 Apple 20&quot; cinema displays. I have seen set ups where you can connect both displays to one computer such that it becomes like one very wide display. The mouse scrolls from one to another. </p> <p> Anyone know how to do this? </p> <p> Ray Paulk </p>

<p> Any experience with paying extra for this service. Advanced Access wants $199 per month and this seems like a lot of money. However advertising&#39;s expensive and if it brings traffic to your site might be worth it. Comments please </p>

<p> Since I just started with Mac in January, I have not bought a external back up for the Mac. The one at the Apple Store is expensive. </p> <p> I have been reading on forums and there are so many different opinions. <p> Hi, </p> <p> I am about to take a much needed vacation (before the market picks up because it is going to!!!) and also help my parents out with their new health needs. My concerns are with the vacation part since it is in St. Thomas and I have some real limitations to my communication choices: </p> <p> 1. I&#39;m from Montana and my cell carrier choices are Verizon and Alltel, which neither work in St Thomas. AT&amp;T does and, believe me, if I could work that out here I&#39;d have an iPhone in a heartbeat. Any ideas on the phone dilemma? I do love my Blackberry, but I won&#39;t have any service. </p> <p> 2. I&#39;m thinking about getting an iPod touch so that I won&#39;t be so dependent on my laptop for communication. Does anyone see any limitations there? I can access my bookmarks in Safari and Firefox, my contacts, all of real estate tools, even write a contract (wouldn&#39;t that be fun to write a contract on my iPod touch while on the boat at the regatta?). Plus, I thought that I should finally get into the mobileme world. </p> <p> 3. I haven&#39;t upgraded to Leopard yet. Should I before I do this? I&#39;ve always had my computer guy do my major upgrades, but I am out of money for that and am considering doing it myself (any words of wisdom there?) <p> About a year ago I switched from Parallels to VM Fusion. I found that it is easier to use. A key problem with either program is that they tend to be memory hogs. Unless I am in need of the PC side, I generally close VM which allows my Mac side to function much more quickly. </p> <p> </p> <p> Ron Gorman </p>

<p> I am a new MacPro user. </p> <p> I was using Adobe Professional in Windows Vista </p> <p> I could export a pdf into a jpg and use in my blogs and create presentations with them. </p> <p> How do I do that in a Mac? </p> <p> Do I need to get adobe for Mac? </p> <p> Also use to screen capture in SnagIt which is not Mac compatible, I know there are key strokes in the Mac but can&#39;t remember how to do it, if anyone knows. </p>

<p> Anyone else having an issue with the spell check. It says Error when I check it. Here is the error below. <p> One of the subjects that I haven&#39;t seen is that of programs that Mac users use for their contact software. Since we can&#39;t use Top Producer, variations of Outlook, what are you using? </p> <p> I have been using REST and have been very happy with it, especially their terrific support and no charge upgrades. They have also have a mobile version that you can use with your IPhone. But, what are you using?
