About this Group

The purpose of the Mac Group is to provide a forum for those real estate agents who are users of Mac computers and software that is programed for Mac computers. Also, the group could also be aimed at those who are using IPhones and are adapting them to specific real estate needs. Since the real estate industry is just beginning to expand their tools into the Mac world, it is very important that we are aware of these developments.

He was running<br /> into trouble with his company's web-based calendaring and collaboration system, as the site required Internet Explorer 6 or<br /> greater to run. He'd browse to it using Safari or Firefox, and the<br /> site would throw an error and refuse access, presumably to make<br /> it easier for novice users to know which browsers work and which<br /> don't. Turns out, it was compatible with Safari after all. We just<br /> had to tell Safari to masquerade as Explorer. </p> <p> Unfortunately, not all web developers keep up with the times. It's<br /> likely that this site's administrators hadn't conducted compliance<br /> testing since at least the release of Internet Explorer 7. It's<br /> getting rarer and rarer, but plenty of sites out there still require<br /> Explorer. This trick won't work on all of them, but it will for a<br /> good chunk of them. </p> <p> While in Safari, select Preferences from the Safari menu. Now,<br /> click the Advanced button at the top right of the Preferences<br /> window, and check "Show Develop menu in menu bar." Close the<br /> Preferences window, and notice the new Develop menu on top of<br /> your screen. In the Develop menu is the User Agent sub-menu.<br /> From the sub-menu, select Internet Explorer 7.0. I have been using a Blackberry phone that is beginning to tell me it's time to say bye-bye and I am seriously torn between getting the Blackberry 8900 versus the iPhone. The Apple Store tells me the iPhone will instantly sync anything I put into the calendar or address book between my computers and the phone. For that alone I'm interested in the iPhone but I have heard there are issues about that syncing the Apple Store talks about. Have any of you run into issues with your iPhone? Everyone seems to love them and other than the battery issue I've not heard anything negative. </p> <p> What would you do in my situation? Would you leave the Blackberry platform for the iPhone or stay with the Blackberry? I have been very happy using the Blackberry and especialy love the email features. How would the iPhone compare on emial? Firefox and Java (9) When I run the new Zipforms program in Firefox it says that I need to install Java. It seems to work fine in Safari, but I rarely use Safari. Plus, it should work in Firefox. I've run into the same situation with attempting to edit my website (Point2Agent).
