Get in Line. Stay in Line. |
I am wearing wristband that reads, “Get in Line. Stay in Line”
Keith Cunningham the business guru told the analogy that people in business get in line like they are in a movie theatre and there are 25 people in front of them. Then when they don’t get to the ticket window quickly they think there might be a better option, another movie they may want to see, or go for a bite to eat, or whatever catches their fancy.
Only they soon realize that in fact they do want to be in that line. Only they can’t get their place back. They go to the back of the line and start over. And they keep doing this over and over never getting to the ticket window.
I liked the analogy. Instead of sticking to the business plan, to the activities that are moving us forward, Agents follow some other thought, follow some other distraction, get too busy to keep doing what made them busy only to discover that they were doing the right thing in the first place.
Get in Line. Stay in Line. I like it
