The Pride of Real Estate

Mar. 31, 2008
Tagged with: real estate market

Coast to coast at the NAR convention and in small offices I tell Agents of my passion for and pride in Real Estate as a career.  You are, we are the most free spirited, entrepreneurial, group on earth with the most personal freedom and the greatest opportunity for financial success.

Be proud of that.  Most of the best Agents are honest.  In our business honesty pays, it pays in repeat and referral business.  We expect honesty to us from the Buyers and Sellers.  You expect honesty (I hope) from your Broker and peers.

We are some of the least political beings in the nation.  There is little room for politics in a Real Estate transaction.  And corporate politics of large companies often does not filter down to the Agent level; thank goodness.

I don’t know about you but that may be why it offends my sensibilities to hear the phrase, all politicians lie.  I didn’t realize why that offended me until recently.  The reason is that our politicians are our leaders.  The media should start saying that.  “All political leaders lie.”  I think if the public heard that they may stop settling for it.

I love this business and you, the people in it who work hard with integrity.  You should be proud.  I am.
