"BUYING A HOME IN "AS IS" CONDITION
BUYERS ARE OFTEN TOLD THE HOME IS BEING SOLD IN "AS IS" CONDITION. IN THIS CASE YOU MAY FEEL IT IS NOT COST EFFECTIVE TO DO A HOME INSPECTION. IN MY 20+ YEARS OF EXPERIENCE I CAN SAY IT IS NEVER WISE TO WAIVE A HOME INSPECTION. A LICENCED INSPECTOR'S EXPRIENCED EYE CAN UNCOVER SO MANY COSTLY AND POTENTIALLY UNSAFE ISSUES ESPECIALLY WITH BIG TICKET ITEMS LIKE THE HEATING, ELECTRIC AND ROOF. ALSO WHEN PURCHASING A HOME WITH A WELL AND SEPTIC,IT IS WISE TO DO THOSE INPECTIONS FIRST AND IF NO MAJOR ISSUES ARE FOUND, THEN DO THE HOME INSPECTION ON ANOTHER DAY.
