Harry Tarbox was with us for too short a time. I recall the fun we had playing hockey on his pond and hunting in the woods on the property his Dad managed.

Wayne's been doing a good job keeping us informed with his RIP e-mails of the sad news when we lose another of our classmates. In the section below, we will include the class photo of those classmates. We do not want to add any more names to this list prior to the October 2009 50th Reunion, agreed?

Please feel free to leave comments in the Post A Comment link below.

Elly Kaufman Miller says it so well: "It seems like yesterday that we walked the halls, laughed and cried with each of our classmates of blessed memory.  May their memory be a comfort to all who loved them and miss them and most especially to their families."  Elly

From Merrilee Doyle:

The kids and I just returned from Buffalo--the
sole purpose was to attend a memorial for John.  The school where he taught for
38 1/2 yr wanted to honor him as he was loved by both teachers, administration
and children.  A teacher's husband made a beautiful bench that is in the
lobby of the school.  As the Principal said, children now sit on it while
waiting for their parents, and parents sit there waiting for their children to
come from class.   The children's chorus sang, teachers sang, and the
Principal read stories about John.  And there were elephants hanging from the
ceiling.

He  always talked about "Ernie" his pet elephant!!  For 30
plus years he talked about his elephant----which started with our kids.  Maybe
you know about his elephant talents. They also made a video that spans the years
that he spent at
Country Parkway.  After, the teachers had prepared a beautiful
reception. It was truely a labor of love---all of the female phys. ed teachers
that he worked with were there as well as several retired ones.   Anyway
needless to day , it was a very emotional day for us----and I think a closure
for all of those who worked with him.
