Aw the muscle car era, here I will be posting my first hand knowledge of these days and more information on how I found the 1971 Trans Am above and document the restoration process, as a car buff the story behind the car is almost as important as the car itself and my 1971 Trans Am has just such a tale.
Specs:
1971 Pontiac Trans Am
engine: 455 H.O.
transmission: 4 Speed
power options: Power Steering, Power Brakes (all other options added weight and cars of that day had a base price + any options)
air condition: 2/60 (it only has 2 windows)
As I waited to have a Starbucks coffee with my sister at the Books A Million in my hometown of Richmond, Virginia, I would always grab a handful of various magazines of interest to past the time. Pictured in one of the magazines was a car from my early days of driving, i'm referring to the early 70's, the end of the Muscle Car Era. At that time I operated a Home Theater business and my only means of transportation was my Chevy work van, it was time for a car.
I called the seller and started down my list of questions, he did a great job of explaining the car it's history and condition.
