The first step is to speak with a lender so we know what price range to work in as well as to make sure that you are qualified to purchase. Even if you are not approved for a loan at this time the lender should be able to help you work on your credit scores so that you would be qualified in the future. The lending world has changed a bit and even if you think you might be qualified it’s important to determine this for sure. Not to mention home prices have changed as well as interest rates and what price range you think you might be looking in might not be exactly what you can afford.
