State of the Real Estate Market in the San Fernando Valley

Posted at 11:51 AM, Apr. 8, 2006

Dear Neighbors, Clients, Friends, and Associates,

What's your take on our current real estate market?

As many of you know, inventory is up in all of our Valleys as well as on the Westside of Los Angeles (you can see some stats at http://realtytimes.com/c/MichaelTrust, and then by clicking "local market conditions" on the right hand side).

In addition, homes are on the market for longer periods of time. Buyers are becoming more choosey as there is no reason to rush a purchase.  At the same time, interest rates are slowly rising (although still very low by historical standards).

What are you seeing in your neighborhoods?

What questions can I answer for you?
