A concern-

I don't mean to call out neighbors, but I think this is a legitimate concern.  The house on the corner of Creek Oak and White Bud (I think) has a very seriously overgrown yard.  Does anyone know if the family is suffering some type of hardship that is keeping them from being able to maintain the yard?  I've thought about offering to cut their grass, but do not want to offend.  The yard is very bad and it is not helping the appearance of the neighborhood.

We're not in the Charleston...but we've had the same problems in our home (Daventry) for the few years now we've been here.

Centex held some home ownership classes & one topic was the upstairs heating & cooling. The fan on the thermostat should be set to AUTO. We noticed that made a difference.

We have put ceiling fans up to help  battle the heat upstairs , 2 in the bonus room and 1 in each bed room ,  it still stays 1 to 3 degrees warmer but the fans help. We are planning to get another unit for upstairs,I have seen other houses in the community with second units, so that is an option too.

Hello There!

We had horrible problems with our air unit last year, the first summer we were here.  We called Centex several times and they told us nothing was wrong.  We then called an independent repairman who tested the level of freon and discovered that our freon was very low ( this was 6 months after we bought the house).  With proof that there indeed was a problem, we called Centex and they fixed our air ducts which was part of the problem that their repairman never could figure out despite my husband asking him specifically if it would be that.

Still we had to pay to have our freon replaced and that was about $150.

My advice is to call Centex and keep calling them until they fix it.  We had Centex here 3-4 times before we gave up and called the independent contractor instead.  Now, your situation my be different, but our upstairs was barely getting under 90 degrees despite the air conditioner working constantly upstairs. Centex told us that was normal, which the independent contractor told us it indeed was not!

The whole ordeal did put a bad taste in our mouths about dealing with Centex.  I hope we are an exception to the rule.

My family lives on Blaze, and we are looking to put up a fence.  Have any of you put up a fence that is with in the specs of the HOA, but not sent in the approval paper with all the plans and specifics?

Does anyone know the property manager and/or how to get in contact with him?  I have a question regarding some of the HOA guidelines, but can't seem to get in touch with him.

Thanks!

Hello,

Is anyone missing a white cat?  My husband and I found a cat late last night.  The cat is white and does not look like a cat that is allowed outside.  We brought her in and fed her.  Please call us at 615-497-4240 if you are the owner or know who is.

Is there anything we can do about people speeding on Blaze Dr.?  People even fly around the round about.  Which reminds me, I saw a man park his white SUV on the round about sidewalk.  I understand the landscapers parking there, but people should not be using that space for a parking lot.

20. Speeding on Blaze Drive

I called the city this morning to see about getting more stop signs added to Blaze Drive. I haven't heard back from them as of yet.  Yes, we just moved in however as discussed before on this blog it's mainly people cutting throught the development not our fellow neighbors.  The City's Residential speed limit is 30mph, we feel thats way to fast for a neighborohood with children.
