Thursday, February 14th, 7:00 PM  South Asian Film Festival - The films being shown are Holly Bolly, Cosmopolitan, The Little Terrorist and Whose Children Are These? This is a free program open to all. It starts promptly at 7PM so please arrive early to be sure to get a seat for this limited seating screening. Feb. 15, 2008 - RE: You should act now

I was one of the few attendng last night's film presentation.  What wasn't made clear is that the festival will present South Asian films at the Ftranklin Township Public Library the next two Thursday evenings. 

The films presented offered a nice variety of subject  matter.  For me,  Cosmopolitan was the most universal, not being of South Asain exptract.  The most emotionally moving was Whose Children Are These; a short film addressing the civil liberties of Muslim -American teens in New York City.   Time constraints prevented the showing of The Litle Terrorist, which was promised to be featured next week. 

If you  enjoy independent films and exploring other cultures, this festival may be just the thing for you.
