Andy Salo founded YigDigs in 2009 because of the void of true community-enabled, social media friendly real estate websites that could help For Sale by Owner home sellers and homeowners that need only limited assistance from a real estate agent.

Andy Salo is a real estate investor, broker, and hi-tech entrepreneur.  Prior to Yigdigs, Mr. Salo held leadership positions running product marketing, product management, technical marketing, and community strategy. Most recently, Andy Salo ran world-wide product marketing and community strategy for SolarWinds (IPO May 2009). Previous to SolarWinds, Mr. Salo ran product marketing and product management for TippingPoint, acquired by 3Com in January 2005 for $430M. Previous to TippingPoint, Mr. Salo ran Product Marketing for Decru, acquired by NetApp in 2004 for $272M.
