Joshua Stearns

As a neighborhood specialist for Weichert, Realtors, I work with buyers and sellers in Northern Virginia but place emphasis on the Penrose and Arlington Heights neighborhoods of Arlington.

I am actively involved in the Penrose Neighborhood Association, Arlingtonians for a Clean Environment and Recordings for the Blind and Dyslexic. My involvement in these groups and my previous employment with Arlington Public Schools have provided me with connections in the community that allow me to better understand the changes that directly affect homebuyers and sellers.

2008 will mark my eleventh year in Arlington and fourth in Penrose. My time here has included six years commuting on the Orange Line every day to a federal government job downtown, three years teaching Social Studies at Yorktown High and one year working for myself as a tutor in the community.

As a real estate agent, I have one goal and that is to provide you with a smooth and worry-free experience. I think that by working for Weichert, I am well positioned to provide you with that experience since Weichert has so many tools to make your transaction go more smoothly. Also, I consider myself a lifelong learner and so am constantly trying to improve my knowledge and skills. Soon, I will earn my ePro designation from the National Association of Realtors. My next goal is to work towards designation as a Green Realtor since I sincerely believe that homes that are more environmentally friendly can provide benefits to everyone and I want to be able to communicate those benefits to all my clients.
