I was born in Charlotte and have lived here my entire life, other than my years in attendance at North Carolina State University, where I majored in mechanical engineering.  I returned from NC State and went to work in the family printing business.  I became the Vice President and Manager of Walker Printing Company, and successfully ran the business until its sale.  Now I enjoy a successful career as a Realtor and broker fully licensed in North Carolina and South Carolina.

I am active in the community, currently serving on a committee for my homeowners’ association and have previously represented my neighborhood on a small area planning committee that reported directly to the county planning commission. I live with my wife Lisa, a professor at UNC Charlotte, and our son Tucker in Mint Hill.  My hobbies include golf, exercising, fantasy football, and documentary television.
