I fell into the MLS Business quite by accident after retiring from the local police department with 25 years of service. I was a systems administrator at the Police Department suffering through a legitimate Y2K crisis. It would have been my job to testify in all relevant court cases that the date stamp on our computer records showing 1976, actually meant 2000, if our new system wasn't ready.

After I retired,  the local REALTOR board was looking to re-establish their own independent MLS, and I just came off implementing, installing and training employees on a new computer system. I was an easy target and have now been in the MLS trenches for 7 years.
