Jack Shingler

    I am a local realtor, born in Marion Ohio and raised in the Orlando Florida area. My wife Patricia and I have been married for 12 years.  We have been blessed with 1 daughter and 3 grandchildren as well as our beloved cats Casper and Miles.

    Before getting into the real estate business I was fortunate enough to have many interesting and challenging positions beginning with custom jewelry. Being a lapidary allowed me to create my own custom pieces and inspired me to be creative.  I did consignment with jewelry as well handling 5 million dollars worth of diamonds at one time with only my word as a contract.  After a successful adventure with jewelry and still keeping it as a full time hobby I broadened my scope of employment by attaining my credentials to become the Coordinator of the Sports Massage Team for the Central Florida Chapter as well as chairing the National Senior Olympics while working at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress in Orlando, Florida. During my quest for adventuresome employment I have driven limo’s for celebrities, and in 1995 and 1996 I was ranked 4th and 5th in the nation for sales at a Dodge Dealership in Orlando, an accomplishment that I am very proud of and one that does not come easily.  In 2003 I received Employee of the Year in a 230 plus employee dealership, and every year had the Highest Customer Satisfaction in every dealership I was associated with for over 20 years. 

I truly enjoyed all the experiences I have had and helping people whether it be with jewelry, massage, new vehicles, customer satisfaction is what I am about and what I believe in.

  Deciding it was time to make an attempt to fulfill my dreams of having a home in the mountains, I left the fast pace of Florida behind.  Relocating to Murphy, NC.  After being fortunate enough to make my dream come true I could not wait to find a way to help others with the same dream and therefore decided to go into real estate. 

When I am not working with clients I enjoy fishing, organic gardening, gold panning and rock hounding.  All hobbies that are suited well to the area.
