About Me
Expertise
Cindy's areas of expertise include real estate broker management, commercial and residential sales, property management, short sales, foreclosures and HUD owned properties in Lawrenceburg and Louisville, KY.
Cindy has been in the real estate business since 1988 and has built a real estate team that has worked for over 20 years bringing buyers and sellers of real estate together. Cindy is committed to helping others succeed and uses her past experience as a teacher to train and coach agents, buyers and sellers to reach their goals. She has helped many home owners attempt to bypass foreclosure sales by introducing and explaining the short sale process. Cindy has worked closely with negotiating short sale contracts with major banks such as Bank of America and Chase. In July 2008, Cindy became a HUD co-listing broker in sixteen counties in Kentucky. She represents HUD to sell their properties as quickly and smoothly as possible.
Managing two real estate offices in Louisville and Lawrenceburg, Kentucky gives Cindy an opportunity to coach agents to the level of success she attained over her 20 year career in real estate.
Cindy has achieved many goals as a real estate broker. Her Lawrenceburg office had been #1 in sales for the county for 4 years when she decided to expand and opened a branch office in Louisville in 2006. Cindy has been able to take her experience, hard work and determination to build a successful office in Louisville during one of the toughest real estate markets in history.
In 2009, Cindy was named “Best Realtor of Anderson County” along with her real estate office, Exit Realty Crutcher. Cindy’s optimism and enthusiasm shine as pearls of her warm personality. Her strength and positivity provide the stability for you to "Lean On" in any real estate transaction. As your "Crutch", she will provide the encouragement and support needed every step of the way.
Leadership
Leadership is in Cindy's blood. She has always instinctively known how to delegate while bringing people together to accomplish goals. In high school she graduated valedictorian and continued on to receive a degree in Mathematics from University of Kentucky. She taught high school for several years before completing real estate school in 1988. Finding her calling, she fell in love immediately with real estate and soon became a leading agent in Anderson County.
After twelve years working as an agent, she and her husband started their own company. Since then, Cindy has been the "Crutch" to lean on as she shares her real estate wisdom with both her agents and clients.
Although no longer a career path, teaching is engrained in all Cindy Crutcher does. "I love to teach what I know... I have a passion to share any knowledge or skill I have and love to help people achieve a goal." Her desire is to teach you anything and everything real estate.
Today, you will find Cindy in a variety of leadership roles. Besides running two real estate offices, she plays the piano in church, teaches a youth praise band, serves on the Anderson County Chamber of Commerce and on the athletic committee at her daughters' school. On her off time, she loves to fish, read, crochet and cross stitch.
Determination
Saturdays were special when Cindy Crutcher was a young girl. That was the day the whole family would go to town. If she and her siblings had been good all week, they would get a coke. Only one coke...for five of them to share! As the youngest of five, Cindy always had the last, and usually least amount to drink. At a young age, Cindy was determined she would one day be able to have as many cokes as she wanted. This determination and perseverance is a metaphor for Cindy Crutcher's life.
Cindy has always been a hard worker, seeing challenges as opportunities, not obstacles. Living in Anderson County all her life, her Bluegrass roots are deep. As farmers, country living shaped her work ethic as she milked cows and helped to raise the tobacco. At local softball games she would earn 10 cents for every out of bounds ball she retrieved. Her family lived sparingly, not always having what they wanted, but what they needed.
Tragedy struck for Cindy at age ten, when her father was shot and killed. Devastated, the family leaned on each other and friends for support. During this time, Cindy learned the lessons of faith and hope from her mother.
Cindy reflects about her mom, "She lost her husband as well as her mother and father in a 20 month time span ...she kept on going and praising God for everyday He gave her breath to breathe. Her actions taught me more than any words could ever say." She has been the greatest influence in Cindy's life. Family roots remain strong even today. On a weekly basis the whole family gathers to eat and visit with one another.
At sixteen Cindy met the "Crutch" she could lean on, Mark Crutcher. She considers him the most genuine person she has ever known. Two years after meeting they were married and soon built a home on his family farm where they still remain. Married 26 years and counting, their commitment is strong. Rounding out the Crutcher clan are their three daughters Leah, Emily and Teri and their rescued collie named "Ginger." As a family they love camping, eating hotdogs and smores and enjoying one another.
Testimonials
“I tried before to buy a house with a different real estate agent and they would always put me off. If I ever decide to sell in the future and get something else, I would definitely use Cindy. You make time for people. Thank you!!”
-Debbie C.
"In Lawrenceburg I was working for another local RE company and I discovered that the cross sales I did with the agents that worked with Cindy were smoother and more enjoyable than working with agents in my own office! When the opportunity presented itself to join Crutcher Realty (now Exit Realty Crutcher) I didn't hesitate. My growth as an agent has skyrocketed since joining this team of professionals due to Cindy's mentoring and her brilliant decision making. Her decision to go with the Exit franchise has provided even greater opportunity through new income streams and security for me and my family."
- Jamie A.
"As a new agent, I talked with several companies and brokers before deciding who to sign with. I really liked the package that Exit Realty offered. The one-tier residuals is the way to go. I would not be surprised if other companies follow our lead.
As I stated before, Exit's package peaked my interest, but, meeting Cindy Crutcher sealed the deal. She is very knowledgeable about real estate, and is passionate about getting new agents trained properly. She also makes you feel like a long-time friend the first time that you meet her!"
- Ken C.
"I would have to say that one of the most important things to me as a new realtor is the fact that Cindy always makes herself readily available and will explain any questions in depth so that you can understand and make application."
- Mark B.
"Exit's sponsoring program fosters a team environment versus a competitive one. Opportunity for added cash flow exists and the design promotes a vested interest in the success of other agents. Also Cindy Crutcher welcomes and encourages agents to personally market themselves, which enables them to build a long term sustainable career. Instead of agents spending advertising dollars to promote the real estate firm, we are challenged to promote ourselves and build our personal marketing skills. Naturally, as our business grows so does Exit Realty Crutcher!"
- Karen G.
