In 1969, I started a tax practice in Whittier, CA. Over the next few years, I obtained a RE agent license, a RE Brokers license, A Series 7 Securities license, a California Insurance license and the following professional designations: GRI, CRS, CFP, EA (Enrolled Agent-licensed to practice before the IRS.) and I became a DTM at Toastmasters International! I have spoken at seven different colleges and universities, in the past, and currently speak at El Camino College, in the Los Angeles area,  twice a year on the topic: "How Real Estate is Affected by the Ever Changing Tax Laws"! (My late wife kept asking me,"What do you want to be when you grow up?")

In 1977, I opened Century 21-Personal Brokers, Inc. and before I sold the office in mid 1980, I had 18 agents working for me. (My wife received a promotion and a job transfer to Denver, CO and I decided I didn't want a long distance marriage!)  We later returned to So. California and in 1984 we bought a tax practice from a Public Accountant who was retiring! We now did 1,200 tax clients each year. Unfortunately, in 1987, she was diagnosed with cancer and passed away in 1997. Since that time, I have continued the tax practice during tax season and selling real estate the rest of the year.
