If you're planning on buying real estate in Steamboat Springs, you are in luck!  We are one of the least expensive (aka undervalued) resorts in the West.  Intrawest bought our ski mountain in 2006 and has been making great--and sorely-needed--changes on the mountain.  Our base area will be scraped and re-built with a pedestrian-friendly village.  We already have new lifts and better slopes.  Our snow making is now state of the art, but we really don't need that, because our Champagne Powder is the best snow in Colorado!
