Ruth Parker

Recently I have joined Keller Williams Realty in Thorndale, PA and find the company very compatible with my passions.  I have been interested in helping families and individuals find a place to call "home" and find the best way of financing it for 12 years.  From bank owned properties, to relocation inventory properites, as-is properties to exquisite dream mansions, I have listed them all.  I also love new construction, love that smell of fresh sawn wood!  I list homes for a custom builder and have been a sight agent for a 7 story condomium building.  I love listing homes, staging homes, and marketing homes.  But I also enjoy taking out buyers and showing them homes that fit their dreams and helping them flawlessly negotiate and go to settlement. 

My time at Eastern Nazarene College in Boston, and my life of bringing up three boys in New York State and the rural areas of Chester County Pennsylvania, has given me an appreciation for cultural differences in the styles of homes in different parts of the country.  It is fun to design floor plans and decorate homes to fit the styles of the area. 

I have a second passion in my life.  I am Chairman of the Board of Directors for two "homes" for teen birthmothers and their babies called House of His Creation .  We provide a home, house parents, social workers, volunteer teachers and life and birth coaches for either pregnant teens or teens who are new mothers.  It is an exciting opportunity to turn an insecure young woman into a confident, trained mother who has a plan for her life.  Because it is a ministry, the girls find their spiritual issues addressed as well as their physical, emotional and financial. Very rewarding work for me.
