Mike Parker is author of more than 150 published articles on the subject of online marketing and he is the Principal of the Blackwater Consulting Group, specialists in Online Marketing Services for realtors and real estate professionals. He is a recognized expert on internet marketing for realtors and real estate professionals, search engine optimization, adapting to the Internet and making it an important part of every agent's strategy.

Mike also serves as consultant to Compass Internet Systems, providers of CompassSearch and  WebReporterTool to about 1000 professional agents and brokers throughout North America. He helps shape that company's products and services to be of value and service to the real estate community.

With a strong background in international business and finance and a heavy emphasis on sales and marketing, Mike serves as a translator of techno-speak and seeks to make technology into something useable and understandable by professional real estate people through his ongoing column, "Online Marketing."

Mike lives in Southern California. He attended the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, where he majored in English and he is the recipient of an Honorary Ph. D. from Pepperdine University in Malibu California.
