Mary Pope-Handy

Mary Pope-Handy is a second generation Realtor, licensed & working full time in the San Jose/Los Gatos/Silicon Valley (of which she is a native) area since 1993. A self-proclaimed education junkie, Mary has attained many designations and certifications, including the prestigious Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), Accredited Buyers Representative (ABR), Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES) as well as the EPRO certification for Internet Marketing Specialization, among others. She is the co-author of "Get The Best Deal When Selling Your Home in Silicon Valley".

Web marketing is an area of expertise for Mary, and she has many websites and a few blogs. Of the latter, perhaps her favorite blog is "Live in Los Gatos", hosted here on Real Town. (And perhaps the strangest is www.HauntedRealEstateBlog.com.) Together with her blog mentor Frances Flynn Thorsen (the managing editor of Real Town), Mary won the Project Blogger Competition on August 1, 2007 with Live in Los Gatos. Mary and Fran were thrilled to be able to assign the $5000 winnings to CARE, a great charity which aims to combat poverty and world hunger.
