About Me
After almost 30 years in association management, I've retired from being an Association Executive, and am breathing new life into my consulting company, JWL and Associates--Focus Consulting and Coaching.
My vision is this: I want to move away from the day-to-day management of personnel, policies, and professional standards that I have been doing for 30 years.. I am excited about problem-solving and sharing my management skills. I've been known for creative answers to industry issues, and that's where I'd like to spend my time.
I am currently working as a consultant for the International Real Property Foundation as we build the real estate association infrastructure in developing economies: my current assignments are Bosnia and the Republic of Georgia. This work has taken be throughout Eastern Europe and Russia, and into Armenia--it's exciting to work with these young professionals and and assist them at the ground level of their growth.
I am also available for Strategic Planning, Association Assessments, and Leadership Training. My training as a personal coach will also come to bear as I develop one-on-one coaching programs for new leaders and new association executives. I want to help people be the best they can be, as well as better understand how to be effective in times of great change.
