About Me

I'm a Realtor specializing in residential properties, but I have an eclectic background and a bunch of interests that give me--I hope--a unique perspective for working to get clients the best deal they can make.

Real estate is my third career:  first, I was a journalist for 25 years, ending up as Night Sports Editor at the Boston Herald.  Then, I spent 10 years in education, most of it as an English teacher, but the last two years as a high school assistant principal.  Now that I'm in real estate, I continue to teach, as an adjunct professor of writing at a community college.  I have a B.A. in English Literature and an M.Ed. in curriculum and instruction, both from the University of Massachusetts Lowell.

I've been very active in fraternal organizations--primarily Freemasonry and DeMolay--and much of my sphere of influence resides in those areas.

The one true love of my life, besides my wife and children, is baseball.  I've been a fanatic baseball fan since the day, when I was nine, I walked up a ramp behind the third base dugout at Fenway Park and saw the Green Monster and the intense, gorgeous green of the infield and outfield grass.  I'll never forget that moment.  Ted Williams didn't play that night, but the Sox beat the Washington Senators 9-8.
I was there when the ball went through Bill Buckner's legs in 1986, and I was on my couch crying when Keith Foulke tossed the ball to first for the final out in 2004.

Almost as big a thrill was my first closing--and every closing since then--as I watched how happy my clients were to be buying (or selling) a property.  I like that thrill and I work toward it every day.
