Hamp is the president of The Measure Man Real Estate Services and Carolina Real Estate and Appraisers. He is an active speaker, writer and educator in the areas of residential square footage and appraisal. Working in remodeling and new construction, rental management, sales and marketing, and appraisal, Hamp has a balanced perspective over the business of real estate. A Certified Residential Appraiser, Certified Residential Specialist; (CRS), Certified Distance Education Instructor; (CDEI), State Approved Continuing Education Instructor, Accredited Buyer's Representative; (ABR), Graduate of the Realtor Institute; (GRI), and a Realtor®, his articles have appeared in local, regional and national publications. He takes a unique approach to this topic and bases his education programs on the needs of the professional real estate practitioner. Hamp is currently developing a new real estate designation, titled “Certified Measurement Specialist.” The CMS designation will provide agents, appraisers, home measurement specialist, and others with a broad understanding of how to measure, calculate, and communicate residential square footage.
