I came to San Diego in 1976 by way of the USS Navy. After six years of enlistment as a technician, I started working for General Dynamics in the space division. I worked on testing the electronic packages that controlled the flight of the Atlas/Centaur missiles.  They put a lot of the satelites used today in communications & weather.  I studied nights & obtained my degree in marketing in 1986 & decided to get a Real Estate Brokers license in 1987. General Dynamics was starting to lay people off in 1990 so I decided to go full time in real estate.  It was very similar to todays market.  I ended up working the NOD/ short sale market until 1997.  The son-in-law of my girl friend asked me if I could help him with his plumbing business for a couple of months.  He filed bankruptcy & I put the new plumbing company in my name.  Three months ago he took the company back. So here I am in a even worse time than the early 90s but hopefully wiser.  I can't believe how much technology is available for an agent today.  I am currently going through the e-pro course. It is amazing. I highly recommend it.  I like fishing & working with wood too.
