As the Founder-Head of Ashley Academy, a multiple award winning Private Independent School in Johnson City, TN, Janine Wilson received the first ever Small Business of the Year award in 1983.  Ashley Academy celebrated their 30th anniversary in Feb. 2009.

Also, Janine Wilson founded the East TN Educational and Youth Enrichment Foundation in 1985, which initiated the award winning Hands On! Children's Museum, which celebrated their 20th anniversary recently.
