High Flying Real Estate!

I'm part REALTOR® part Adrenaline Junkie.  When I'm not Selling Houses, I spend my time at Vegas Indoor Skydiving as a Body Flight Instructor. VegasIndoorSkydiving.com  I look at my business the same way I look at life......"If your not having fun, then you need to loosen up, or do Something Else!"  Other hobbies of mine include skydiving (yes jumping out of planes), rock climbing, hiking, snow skiing, wake boarding, etc.

Originally from St Louis, MO, I moved to Las Vegas in 2004 to pursue a Culinary Arts degree from UNLV.  Upon graduation in 2008, I found myself in a very common dilemma, "What Now?"  Catering is one of my many passions, so initially I wanted to start a small catering company hiring people I knew from school.  Many of whom were in a similar situation to mine.  However, the economic conditions weren't exactly "ideal" for starting a new business in hospitality.  The current economy did create a need for another type of profession, Loan Mod Consultants.  So like many other under-qualified overly ambitious entrepreneurs, I started a Loan Modification business in Sept of '08.  

Like nearly everyone else in this newly created business, I had absolutely no idea what I was doing.  But I was a recent college grad, if I can cram a semester's worth of knowledge into my head in a few hours, I can teach myself anything!  As luck would have it, the only real estate professional I knew personally was a successful short sale agent.  Over a period of a few months, I learned the ropes of short sale negotiating, very similar to loan mod negotiating.  The agent eventually convinced me to get my real estate license and work with her.  Thankfully, this probably saved me from being one of the many loan mod "professionals" that were sued in the last year.
