Columbus Best Blog is not a fan

Note: This entry is not about Columbus.... this is about real estate blogging... the battle of the century? Nope just a momentary blip in the blogosphere. The Real Estate is local category on Columbus Best Blog is always about elsewhere... not Columbus, not Central Ohio

I am not a boxing fan. You are probably never going to find a blog entry about the best boxers in Central Ohio....

Oh ok here's Ohio boxing addresses including Columbus...

Nor am I a fan of the two blogs doing the Sellsius 101 Blog challenge. They're just not my 'cup of tea.' and with so many real estate blogs to read out there....I believe there are over 1600 RealTown Blogs...I read some of those, read other real estate blogs but I seldom read either of the Sellsius 101 challengers Both bloggers have lots of fans. Both bloggers are masters at self promotion. Ardell also writes on Seattle's Rain City Guide. I am a fan of Seattle's Rain City Guide as a number of writers contribute there. I am a huge Sellsius° Blog fan!

The Property Monger blog is going to do a 'play by play'coverage...or is it 'blow by blow' coverage? He call's Ardell's blog Searching Seattle Blog... which is a domain she is using to mask her http://ardell.realtownblogs.com/ url? I think I called Ardell's blog 'Searching Seattle' when I blogged elsewhere but top o' the blog says "Ardell's Seattle Area Real Estate Blog.

The Property Monger wrote: "Blog Top Sites won’t do Ardell any good here as it looks like she’s switched URL’s from http://ardell.realtownblogs.com/ to http://www.searchingseattleblog.com/

How do you measure reach? Reach is important to blogs (all websites) and boxing.... blogs have a lot more reach than most websites....

According to Alexa, Ardell's blog traffic is three percent of all the RealTown Blogs traffic.

All the challenge is, is a race to see who can enter 101 entries...fastest? Rank or reach doesn't matter, BlogTopsites, Technorati doesn't matter.. it's a numbers game. Post 101 entries....

A statement on the Bloodhound Blog about the challenge:

"This might sound like a dumb stunt, but, in fact, there may be no two people in the real estate blogosphere better-suited for such a test."

Guiness the beer? Or Guiness the Book of World Records? Greg and Ardell will be drinking Guiness or something tomorrow to forget today.

I think this is a clever ruse on the part of Sellsius° Blog to try Blog Aversion therapy on a couple of unsuspecting Blogaholics..... Guinea pigs?

Maureen, Regardless of where we appear "together" over the years, I have always felt a "Maureen doesn't like me" tone to everything you say to or about me. Care to comment on why that is? Is it simply because I am a not a member of NAR? Not a Realtor? Talk about commissions? You hate Italians? I am not a true-blue Real Town Friend and Buddy in your eyes? Some glimpse into why would be appreciated.

Ardell, I am not a fan of your writing. Why does it matter if I like you? I seldom post on RealTalk or BlogTalk anymore because If I write "the sky is blue" you respond "the sky is not blue, etc. etc. etc.." much to the amusement of others. I believe what you did to a number of new bloggers on BlogTalk and in comments on their RTBlogs discouraging their initial efforts was deplorable. Blogging is difficult enough and your criticisms stopped more than one newbie blogger dead in their tracks. I had to stop encouraging new bloggers on BlogTalk because if I wrote something positive about a blog or a blogger you would post the contrary. I don't care about your membership status with NAR. I don't care what you write about on a blog that I seldom read. As much as you'd like to believe the world and the whole blogosphere revolves around you, for me it does not. Your "You hate Italians?" is offensive. Congratulations on competing in the 'Sellsius 101' and finishing. You are the master of self promotion, you have plenty of fans!

Thanks Maureen, I always appreciate honesty. Truly. Apparently what I think is constructive advice, like don't bad mouth your clients on your blog, others take personally. Blog Talk is about helping each other...not just patting each other on the back. Yes we are all new, and I make my share of mistakes just like everyone else. But for people to start a vendetta over advices, is childish.
