According to Wikipedia, other US cities call their Independence Day celebration Red, White and Boom but Columbus' Red, White and Boom is the biggest.
"The largest is in downtown Columbus, Ohio. Attendance typically averages 500,000 people but has been as high as 750,000. Red, White & Boom was started in 1981 by WNCI and WCMH-TV and is paid for by corporate sponsors."
I want fireworks on my page like yours! Red, white and boom sounds like fun. We live 4 blocks from the Capitol building in St. Paul. Until a few years ago, the Capitol grounds were where the fireworks for St. Paul were displayed. Our "widow's peak" roof would have been the perfect place to watch them. As it is, we go on the rooftop and see the entire circle of fireworks around the city. It's quite the show stretching clear to the horizon.
Thanks Bonnie... we drive downtown, sit on the ground with the common suburbanites and non downtown dwelllers each year for Red, White and Boom. Good people watching.
